Led Headlamp
I have a 77 Kaw. KE 250 and want to convert from 6V to 12V?
It’s because there’s really not enough charging power to do all the bulbs adequately at night, and the flashers are slow or non existent at idle. If I convert to 12V, I can replace the headlamp with a brighter one, add a couple of LED’s for visibility, and change to a 12v flash system. Anyone know of a kit out there?
I doubt you will find a kit for a 30+ year old trail bike.
Now then, you will Have to replace all the bulbs as they are 6 volt, and most of the electrical as it is all set up to run on 6 volts. If you don’t, carry a fire extinguisher because your going to burn it up!
Many a old (6 volt) VW bug owner can testify to this.
